According to many beliefs, houseplants can improve their owner«s financial situation. It»s believed that with the right selection and care, money can easily be attracted to the home. We«ve chosen three of the most popular such plants. They are also quite undemanding in terms of care.
Lemon Tree
It is believed that citrus plants can attract not only luck but also money into the home. Lemon or tangerine trees are suitable for these purposes. They should be watered abundantly with settled water at room temperature.
The soil should be non-acidic and loose so that the citrus plants grow and develop well. After the first fruits appear, repot them no more than once every 3–4 years.
Crassula or Money Tree
Succulents are easy to maintain and are thought to promote a prosperous mindset.
The most famous plant that, according to belief, can attract wealth is the crassula or money tree. However, when repotting, it«s important to place a coin at the bottom of the pot.
«A young plant needs to be repotted every year. When it grows up, a larger pot won»t be necessary. The soil should be loose, with drainage at the bottom,« listed Tatiana Chernova, a practicing landscape designer. »The leaves contain arsenic, so you need to be careful when handling the crassula.«
With proper care, the crassula can even bloom, but only in its 10th year of life.
Zamioculcas or ZZ Plant
The ZZ plant is popular for being undemanding and easy to care for. Zamioculcas is said to attract luck and wealth into the home.
«The pot should not be placed in a draft or under direct sunlight. In autumn and winter, you need to reduce watering to once or twice a month,» advises the specialist. «One feeding per month from April to September is enough.»
Overwatering is fatal for the ZZ plant—the roots rot easily, so you shouldn«t overdo the watering. It»s better to wait until the soil dries out 2–3 centimeters, and only then add moisture.
