A happy ending has been reached in the story of a Tolyatti resident. The wife of a serviceman was charged an impressive sum for water supply. The woman was dismayed upon seeing the bills and sought help. Deputies took up the matter, and the state housing inspection (GZhI) conducted a check.
«The information became grounds for an inspection by our inspectors and a meeting — we invited representatives of the resource-supplying organization to it. As a result, we decided to make an adjustment to the charges due to a faulty metering device,» said the GZhI.
A deputy of the regional duma spoke about the problem of the Tolyatti woman — she turned to him for help. According to him, such a debt grew in just a few months.
«The wife of a mobilized serviceman, living on Zhilina Street, was charged 94 thousand rubles (approximately $940 at current rates) for water supply services over six months (from May to November). Neither the management company nor Volzhskie Kommunalnye Sistemy have yet given a clear answer to the question of where such an astronomical sum came from. It is assumed that there was a technical error, but no one has made a recalculation, and the debt still remains,» said Maxim Guseinov.
Previously, deputies dealt with the problems of citizens who faced a sharp increase in tariffs for maintenance of in-house and in-apartment gas equipment (TO VD(K)GO).
