Residents of Omsk continue to complain about cold in their apartments after a major accident on the networks of CHPP-2, which occurred on January 21. Repairs were carried out on the same day, but Omsk residents still report low temperatures in their homes. In the Telegram channel «Typical Omsk,» a local resident said that in the house at 16th Military Town, 414, there has been no heat for a day. The apartment maintains only +14 degrees Celsius (57°F). According to the citizen, hot water was also cut off today.

«There has been no heating in the house for a day now, it»s below −30°C (-22°F) outside, and +14°C (57°F) in the apartments. The management company does not respond to calls, no repair work is being carried out. Today, hot water was also cut off,« reported the resident.

The Omsk State Housing Inspection commented on the situation. According to specialists, after the accident on the networks, communications froze in some houses. Currently, a team is thawing them out.

«According to the management organization, after the shutdown, communications in the houses of the microdistrict froze. Currently, a team at the sites is thawing the heating system. Then the houses will be started up.»

A reader of NGS55.RU from the neighboring house at Pechnikova, 300 also faced problems: heat was absent in the apartment for three days, and only today it was partially restored.

«This is just a record low. I»ve never experienced anything like it. There has been no heating since January 21. All this time, they tried to do something: they circulated water until 3 a.m., but by morning everything cooled down again. During the day, they dug up a frozen pipe in front of the entrance, the radiators warmed up a bit, but immediately a radiator frozen into ice burst. They turned everything off, removed it, put in a plug, and now it seems to be heating up again. This was literally finished an hour ago.«

Previously, NGS55.RU reported that an Omsk woman filmed a sinkhole in the asphalt, which occurred due to an accident on Rokossovskogo Street.
