'Radiators Barely Warm' as Heat Fades in Plyushchinsky for Over a Day
In four buildings of the Plyushchinsky residential area in Novosibirsk, the temperature dropped on January 22 and 23, according to local residents. Heating parameters have already been restored to normal. The management company explained why the temperature decreased in the apartments.

Heating parameters in the apartments were reduced on January 22. This information was published on the municipal portal.
«The radiators are barely warm, my nose is freezing in the apartment. At first, I blamed the balcony, but I realized it was the heating itself. It»s freezing at home, and you can«t even warm up in the bathroom,» said local resident Yelizaveta.
Resident Oksana from Plyushchinsky reported that in her building, there was hot water on the evening of January 22 and the morning of the 23rd, but the radiators cooled down. Novosibirsk resident Ivan stated that in his apartment, heating parameters decreased when the frost weakened.
Heating problems were discussed in the residents« chat for the building at 7/4 Vitaly Potylicyn Street.
«Heating and water supply were provided at 9 PM — the radiators became slightly warm. That was enough to prevent the house from freezing. Otherwise, since 11:00 on January 22, the radiators have been cold. We spent the night using a heater and underfloor heating — it was cold, we slept in clothes,» wrote local resident Maksim on January 23.
Local resident Anastasia said that she appealed to the prosecutor«s office of Novosibirsk Region regarding the situation. They replied that scheduled work was being carried out in the residential area.
What the Officials Say
That the Plyushchinsky residential area is now heated not by «Diskus» but by «Siberian Generating Company (SGC)» was reported by NGS in 2023. The press service of SGC commented on the heating situation in the residential area:
«In the NTSK zone, houses in the Plyushchinsky microdistrict have heating and hot water supply, without interruptions or quality reductions. Parameters are normal.»
On the territory of the Plyushchinsky residential area, SGC does not have its own boiler house; houses in their circuit are supplied from CHP-5, parameters are normal.
The listed houses where reduced parameters were observed (7/4, 7/5 Vitaly Potylicyn Street, 11/1, 25 Tatiana Snezhina Street), according to SGC information, belong to the «Leader-N» boiler house.
According to the «Contur.Focus» service, among the founders and participants of LLC «Leader-N» is LLC «Diskus-plus». The net profit of «Leader-N» for 2024 was 22.6 million rubles (approximately $251,100 at current rates).
In the management company «Plyushchinsky», they answered the NGS journalist that on January 22-23, scheduled work was carried out to replace valves. The company clarified that for three hours, the temperature in the apartments decreased by 1 degree — from 20°C (68°F) to 19°C (66°F), for which inspection reports were drawn up. Since 12:00 on January 23, the temperature has returned to normal.
«Approximately 50,000 people live in the Plyushchinsky microdistrict. On January 22, the management company received 31 complaints, on January 23 — 18. All requests are being processed as usual,» answered the management company.
The NGS journalist also sent a request to the prosecutor«s office of Novosibirsk Region.
