Omsk Residents Complain of Mass Heating Outages

Omsk residents continue to complain about the cold in their apartments: heating outages have occurred almost across the entire city. Dozens of messages have already appeared on the official page of Governor Vitaly Khotsenko on VKontakte, asking for the heat to be restored.
Many Omsk residents cannot understand why such a massive heating problem has arisen in the city. Residents are wondering how the services prepared for winter.
«Disaster in Omsk! Heating has been turned off in the apartments, people are crying for help. It»s only 10 degrees Celsius (50°F) in the rooms, and nothing helps — no one is listening! How did you prepare for winter? We were without water all summer, and the pipes burst immediately.«
«Osovayakhimovskaya Street, 187. Corner apartment, 13 degrees Celsius (55°F) in the room! It reminds me of the siege, when the whole family had to live in one room and heat it. How much are we going to pay for heating that isn»t there, and there are never any recalculations? People are freezing in their apartments! How did the city prepare for winter, with only breakdowns? Why do we suffer, while the guilty don«t take responsibility and keep raising our tariffs?»
Some are taking the heating outages with irony, joking that Omsk won«t survive the next winter.
«In short, to sum up — Omsk won»t survive the next winter! As they say — finita la commedia! Those who can will leave, and those who remain can only pray.«
One of the residents wrote that pensioners cannot hold back their emotions because of the cold in their apartments.
«The phones at the Heating Network Company (RTS) are not being answered. Old people are in tears, children are freezing… Vitaly Pavlovich, please call the head of RTS, what is going on with them?»
It«s cold in the city center too, and near the thermal unit, hot water is leaking.
«Marx Street, 22a, near the thermal unit, hot water is leaking. Previously, there was a ground collapse in the same place from which steam was pouring. They reported it to the Heating Company and the unified dispatch service for the first time on 16 January 2026, but only a fence has been put up. The pressure in the system is reduced, and the temperature in the house does not rise above 18 degrees Celsius (64°F).»
Earlier, NGS55.RU reported that during the cold weather, TGC-11 (the thermal power company) did not heat the water in the pipes to the required temperature.
