Omsk prosecutor uncovers over 4,000 housing utility violations

In 2025, the Omsk prosecutor«s office uncovered over four thousand violations of housing and utility legislation. The agency drew up about two thousand response acts, and on the initiative of prosecutors, over a thousand individuals were held accountable.

After the agency«s intervention, repairs of common property were carried out in 32 apartment buildings, and four pre-investigation checks were initiated.

«Attention is being paid to instances of supplying citizens with water of inadequate quality, lack of cold and hot water supply, gas supply, heating, untimely elimination of utility accidents and liquidation of their consequences.»

For the violations, utility services received over 100 submissions, while about 90 officials were held administratively liable.

«Prosecutors secured a recalculation of utility payments totaling over 1.5 million rubles (approximately $15,000 at current rates),» the supervisory agency said.
