The Investigative Committee for Omsk Region has opened a criminal case over the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements. The cause is utility pipe bursts, which led to the loss of heating in homes on Osoaviakhimskaya Street and Karl Marx Avenue.
According to the investigation, as a result of untimely and poor-quality repairs to the heating networks, workers of the servicing organization allowed pipe bursts with hot water, which caused the heating shutdown in homes on Osoaviakhimskaya Street and Karl Marx Avenue in Omsk, which, given the extremely low ambient temperatures, created a threat to the safety of citizens« lives and health.
Investigators are clarifying the circumstances of the incident and identifying those responsible.
