Residents of one of the houses located in the Samara district of Samara have raised the alarm. According to them, the building with a century-old history has been without water for a week. They contacted the editorial office of 63.RU and shared their heartfelt plea:
«We have an emergency situation at our house on Frunze, 131. Since January 17 to this day, there has been no water supply. It»s important to note that the house only has cold water supply! That means residents are deprived not only of drinking water but also the ability to use the toilet,« said local resident Alina Popova.
According to her, the Samara residents have appealed to the managing company, the housing maintenance office, and municipal services.
«Measures to fix the breakdown have still not been taken. They haven»t provided us with water delivery, even technical water for basic needs,« added Alina Popova.
The editorial office of 63.RU contacted representatives of RKS-Samara to request a comment on the situation.
«A request with this address has been received – an inspection of the networks will be conducted to identify the cause of the water absence. The address has been passed to the technical block management for monitoring. As for water delivery, it is carried out in case of a line shutdown, or ordered by the managing company. Currently, there is no shutdown or work there. There was also no request for water delivery from the managing company,» explained the resource-supplying organization.
According to the service 2Gis, the house on Frunze, 131, was built in 1917. The structure is considered an architectural monument of regional significance.
«Melnikova House is a historical residential building included in the list of cultural heritage objects. Such buildings are examples of urban residential development typical of the late 19th – early 20th century,» states the description of the house on 2Gis.
This is far from the only utility breakdown in Samara. On Thursday, January 22, it became known about network damage on Yarmarochnaya. Because of this, three houses were left without heating and hot water.
