Woman loses baby and ability to have children after childbirth

Nearly three years ago, Lyubov Merkulova found herself between life and death during childbirth. She underwent an emergency operation, but they couldn«t save her unborn daughter—the baby drowned due to extensive internal bleeding.

The medics admitted that the woman herself might not have been saved either. In intensive care, they told Lyubov: «Thank God the head of department was on duty; we usually don»t save such cases.«

After the operation, the 37-year-old Merkulova permanently lost the ability to have children. She spoke about the tragic events and their consequences in a video address.

«The child died, but I saw with my own eyes that he was already swimming in blood. He was separated from all of it. That is, a total placental abruption occurred,» Lyubov Merkulova reported. «They even made me walk up to the third floor. The head of department, whom I know, only then screamed: »Why isn«t she on a gurney?! She has a placental abruption!»«

According to the woman, the doctors called her survival a miracle. «I lost practically all my blood. That is, I really did come back from the dead,» she added.

Merkulova also pointed out discrepancies in the medical documents. «The documents state that on May 17, there were no pathologies. I wasn»t even at an appointment on May 17, so how can this date appear in the conclusion?« she questioned.
