Twenty-six cases of salmonella infection have been recorded at the Teremok kindergarten in Nyagan. This was announced by the city«s mayor, Ivan Yamashev.

The outbreak of an acute intestinal infection became known last week. At that time, four children were hospitalized, tests were taken from other kindergarteners, and their condition is being monitored by medics.

The epidemiological investigation began on January 19. It was found that all kindergarten staff are healthy. Specialists continue to determine the cause of the outbreak. The situation is under the control of Rospotrebnadzor (the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing).

The work of the Teremok kindergarten has been temporarily suspended. Its premises are undergoing sanitary treatment with disinfectants.
