An outbreak of intestinal infection occurred in the Tyumen village of Onokhino. It is presumed that 116 children were affected, with one hospitalized. In a conversation with 72.RU correspondents, parents of students told how their children fell ill.

“My child fell ill, he is 9 years old. Complaints of stomach pain, discomfort, and bloating appeared at night, around three o«clock. In the morning, vomiting started, but there was no fever. At school, they only ate a bun with tea, refused soup. They drank water from the drinking fountain. Now the child»s condition is stable, there have been no more vomiting attacks. We are already taking medication, emergency services came,” a parent said.

According to the woman, there is no information yet about closing the school due to the situation. However, some parents have started writing applications to exempt their children from classes.

“For example, out of 24 students in our class, only 6 were at school today. But this morning, information about the ill in the institution was denied,” the parent clarified.

Mass reports of the infection, according to the parent, started last evening, 28 January. Although some children complained of worsening health as early as Monday.

A second parent told 72.RU that her two children fell ill, and she went with them to the hospital.

“This morning, around four o«clock, I woke my daughter with a complaint of nausea. Later, she vomited. My son also couldn»t sleep — he felt nauseous, but after breakfast he said he feels well. He went to school, and there he vomited after all. I had to go with the children to the hospital. Although many parents write in groups that they see no point in visiting the institution, as they know themselves how to treat it. There were no queues at the hospital,” the Tyumen resident said.

About the infection outbreak, regional authorities reported earlier. A bit later, it became known about the number of affected children.
