New Year's miracle! Factory owner pays for surgery for Ural boy born without ears
A New Year«s miracle has happened for a family from the Urals living in the village of Altynai. The owner of the Sukholozhsky Cement Plant has fully covered the bill for an operation for a child born without ears.
Three-year-old Egor Zyuzikov was born without both ear canals. In August 2025, the couple, not without help from caring people, saved up 10 million rubles (about $100,000 at current rates) for their son to undergo a complex operation in America. The boy had his right ear recreated from medical plastic, and he heard his mother«s voice for the first time.
«Even though Egor is little, he understands everything and takes great care of his right ear,» Galina Zyuzikova told E1.RU. «Every time he hears a new sound, he asks me: »Mama, do you hear that?« Then I ask him what exactly he heard? And we try to find the source of the new sound.»
To restore the boy«s full hearing and rebuild the second ear, they needed to save another 11 million rubles (about $110,000 at current rates) — the operation had become noticeably more expensive in six months. Over the past six months, the Zyuzikovs managed to save about 5.5 million rubles (about $55,000 at current rates), of which 1.3 million rubles (about $13,000) were collected with the help of charitable foundations.
Moreover, the bill for the operation had to be paid by 26 January 2026.
On 21 December, the head of the Sukholozhsky Cement Plant (LLC «SLK Cement») transferred 4.6 million rubles (about $46,000 at current rates) to the clinic«s account.

«Little Egor»s journey to hearing ears continues. There«s not much left, just one last push,» added Galina Zyuzikova.
Now the Zyuzikovs only need to raise 784 thousand rubles (about $7,800 at current rates) — this amount is for additional expenses — the flight and accommodation in America during the operation. It is preliminarily scheduled for 23 March.
