Kuban Residents Increasingly Choose Laser Eye Surgery

For decades, glasses and contact lenses have been considered the only way to deal with poor vision. However, in recent years, residents of Krasnodar Krai are increasingly choosing an alternative. According to ophthalmologists, demand for laser vision correction in the region is steadily growing.

— People have stopped perceiving poor vision as normal, — says ophthalmologist Mark Abdurakhmanov from the 3Z clinic in Krasnodar. — Glasses and lenses interfere with daily life for many: during sports, at work, while driving, on vacation. This is especially felt in the southern climate.

More than 80% of information is received through vision, and any limitations directly affect quality of life. At the same time, modern laser correction technologies have significantly changed.

— Today it is a fast and precise procedure preceded by detailed diagnostics. We always start with an examination and select the method individually, — the doctor notes.

Often patients come with similar stories: it«s inconvenient to drive a car at dusk, difficult to engage in active sports, discomfort when working at a computer or constant feeling of eye fatigue.

— Many are surprised that recovery takes very little time, — adds Mark Abdurakhmanov. — In most cases, a person returns to their usual pace of life quite quickly, literally the next day after the procedure.

Specialists emphasize: laser correction is not suitable for everyone, and the decision is always made only after consulting a doctor. However, the very fact that residents of the region are increasingly interested in the possibilities of modern ophthalmology speaks to growing attention to quality of life and one«s health.
