Ekaterina Kolotovkina poisoned after eating store-bought dried fruits
A member of Russia«s Public Chamber, well-known Samara public figure Ekaterina Kolotovkina ended up in the hospital after poisoning from store-bought dried fruits. The wife of a general and head of the »Wives of Heroes« project shared her unpleasant experience on her social media.
What happened?
According to Kolotovkina, she bought a packaged set of nuts and dried fruits at a vegetable shop near her home. In the evening, without washing the raisins, she ate them with herbal tea. Kolotovkina suspects that the culprit of her poor condition was precisely the raisins purchased at «Eastern Shop».
«Of course, I didn»t wash it, because I thought that in such sealed sets everything is processed,« she wrote.
The consequences were immediate.
«I have severe poisoning, loss of almost two kilograms (about 4.4 pounds) of weight in a day, weakness and cramps. At first, I tried to treat myself at home, but on Monday, after going to work, my condition worsened, and I had to call an ambulance,» says the general«s wife.
Only later, after carefully examining the packaging, Kolotovkina noted that there was no warning about the need to wash the products.
«But I think there are definitely bacteria there,» she added.
To her subscribers, the public figure gave a simple but important piece of advice: «Wash everything you eat.» Now her condition is gradually improving.
