Balakovo man injured after falling from Khvalynsk's Eiffel Tower replica

An unusual case occurred at the Balakovo City Clinical Hospital. After the New Year holidays, a man with injuries from a fall from a height of over five meters was delivered to the emergency department.
During questioning, the patient told medics that he fell from the Eiffel Tower. As reported by the hospital«s press service, the doctors initially did not believe him. However, the patient was conscious and even showed photographs that depicted a tall metal structure stylized after the famous Parisian symbol.
According to the victim, this «attraction» is located in the Khvalynsk district (Saratov Oblast, Russia), where there are also miniature copies of the Taj Mahal and the Christ the Redeemer statue. Despite the seriousness of the fall, the man was lucky. The examination revealed fractures of two ribs and bruises of soft tissues. Thanks to prompt diagnosis and timely assistance, his condition stabilized, and next week he is preparing for discharge.
