A company representative contacted the Andropovsky District police department. He reported that expensive goods had gone missing from the warehouse. Surveillance cameras helped to sort it out — they showed that the goods had been swapped.
As it turned out, several days ago in Nevinnomyssk (Stavropol Krai), three warehouse employees took a large box from a chair and carefully placed inside a smart speaker, a smartphone, a game console, and a laptop. Then they stuck the barcode from the chair on the box — and the scheme was ready.
The shift supervisor played a key role. He placed an order for a pickup point in Kursavka village and came to pick up the «chair» in person. But he did not manage to take the box — the police were already waiting for him at the scene.
The 29-year-old man was detained while receiving the order. His colleagues were also questioned as suspects. All those involved were given travel restrictions as a preventive measure.
A criminal case has been initiated over the theft. The investigation is ongoing.
