Presidential Administration Plans Two-Phase Construction for Delayed Patrocle School

A lawyer from Vladivostok and the author of the channel «Far Eastern Lawyer»s Diary« said that he received a response from the presidential administration regarding the fate of the long-construction school for 1,275 places on Patrocle.
The document published by him states that the school is 60.27% complete, and the reasons for falling behind schedule were poor organization by the contractor, shortage of workers, and disruption of funding.
Currently, work is not being carried out as issues are being resolved in court, and the cost of the facility has increased to 4.3 billion rubles (approximately $47.8 million at current rates), requiring additional investments of 1.4 billion rubles (approximately $15.6 million at current rates). Despite all the problems, they do not intend to terminate the contract with the contractor. The reason for this decision is unclear.
«Currently, a legal mechanism is being developed to avoid contract termination and complete the construction of the facility with the current contractor,» the document states.
Also, to expedite the school«s opening, the construction is planned to be split into two stages: first, academic buildings No. 1–5, a checkpoint, a sports core, utility networks will be built, and landscaping will be done, and only then will the general school building appear. It is expected that children will be able to attend the school in the 2026/2027 academic year.
While the school is not available, for some houses on Patrocle, other institutions are assigned where children are taken by school bus, and also some schoolchildren study at school No. 5 on their parents« initiative. Also, in 2025, the authorities purchased premises at Sochinskaya Street, 17, for a kindergarten for 90 places, which they also plan to open by September 1.
Construction of the modern school for 1,275 places in the Patrocle district began in 2021, but it ended up with the status of a long-suffering unfinished building. Each time it was promised to be delivered within a year, but the deadlines were postponed. In 2025, residents of the district began collecting signatures for a collective appeal to Vladimir Putin to solve the problem with the delayed project, but on August 13 it became known that the facility would be delivered only by September 2026.
On October 29, it became known that the contractor asked for more money and even appealed to the Arbitration Court to change the terms of the municipal contract, but was ultimately refused.
We collect all the history of the school and news on this topic in a special story.
