Concrete foundation poured for Sennaya metro station in Nizhny Novgorod
On Sennaya Square in Nizhny Novgorod, they have begun pouring the foundation for the future metro station complex. For the work in the initial pit, 25 heated concrete mixer trucks were used, as reported in the Telegram channel «MetroNN».
The pouring of the first section lasted nine hours. 300 cubic meters of concrete mixture were poured into the installed reinforcement frame of the first section. This structure will serve as the foundation for the block of technical rooms of the future underground station complex.
Next, metro builders will proceed to «drying» the solution: this is necessary for it to harden better. During the process, technological care for the concrete and quality control are ensured.
Simultaneously, workers are preparing for the installation of reinforced concrete structures for the next section of the future station.
As for the above-ground construction, on Sennaya Square, they are already installing binding beams to create a solid foundation for the station. Here, the installation of 33 tons of metal reinforcement frame and over 600 cubic meters of concrete will also be required.
Additionally, the contract for the construction of new metro stations in the Nagornaya part of Nizhny Novgorod has been extended until December 2027. Initially, the work was planned to be completed by the end of 2025.
