In Volgograd on January 30, large-scale operational-tactical antiterrorism drills will be held at high-speed tram stations. As a result, both the routing of high-speed trams and access regulations at underground stations ST and ST-2 may change.
In accordance with the plan for conducting antiterrorism drills in 2026, approved by the chairman of the National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC), the operational headquarters in Volgograd Oblast is conducting an operational-tactical antiterrorism drill on January 30, 2026, in the hero city of Volgograd on the topic: «Organization and implementation of measures to prevent a terrorist act at a transport infrastructure facility — the Volgograd high-speed tram,» stated the official message from the operational headquarters.
Residents are asked to be understanding of possible temporary movement restrictions related to the drill exercises and not to give in to false rumors and speculation. Information worthy of citizens« attention will be presented promptly, it is promised.
The city administration reported that trams on routes ST and ST2 will operate within the stops «Chekistov Square» and «VGTZ» during the drills.
