Voronezh blogger joins addiction treatment show for stars

Diana Aster, a blogger from Voronezh, has become a participant in the show «Stars Under the Drip» (18+) on the TV channel «Friday!». In this show, stars are treated for addictions.

Diana Aster is a popular Russian TikToker, blogger, and singer. She was born in 2000 in Voronezh. After finishing school, she enrolled in a Moscow university and moved to the capital. In 2019, Diana started making short videos on the TikTok platform. After a couple of months, she managed to gain a million subscribers; currently, her account has over 10 million subscribers. In 2020, Diana ranked 10th in the list of highest-paid TikTokers compiled by the Russian version of Forbes.

Along with her, the show features Anastasia Volochkova, Nikita Dzhigurda, blogger Roma Zholud, TV host Masha Malinovskaya, Hofmannita, actress Evgenia Osipova, and blogger Gabar. The 25-year-old Diana Aster admitted that her childhood was accompanied by parental quarrels and drunken fights. The girl started drowning her problems in alcohol from her school years.

«I drank to have fun, but it was hard at home. In 2017, my grandfather died, it was related to a binge. After his death, my mother«s brother and grandmother started drinking. Two years later, my uncle died from alcoholism, a year later — my grandmother,» the girl shared.

Early popularity in blogging gave way to a black streak: views began to decline, and the bottle became the only «salvation» for Diana. The girl got involved with a bad crowd and started drinking more often.

«I had no money, no friends, and my drunk mother calls me and says she doesn«t want to live. Now my biggest fear is losing my mother,» Diana said.

Despite attempts to pull herself together, relapses still occur. The girl calls them going into the «astral» — a state where pain and problems of the external world cease to exist.

At the end of the first episode, Anastasia Volochkova and Nikita Dzhigurda left the show of their own accord.
