Star of 'Pregnant at 16' from Yekaterinburg: father joins SMO

Veronika, a 19-year-old from Yekaterinburg who appeared on 'Pregnant at 16', discusses her life after the show and her partner's decision to join the special military operation.

Veronika, who appeared on the reality show, had her baby when she was 17 years old.

19-year-old heroine of the show «Mom at 16» (the program«s usual name is »Pregnant at 16«) Veronika shared how her life has unfolded since the project. The episode featuring the Yekaterinburg resident was aired in March of this year on the Yu channel. She gave birth to her baby Mark at the age of 17.

Now Veronika is experiencing a difficult time — 19-year-old father of the child Rasim decided to go to the special military operation. The young mother shared with her followers on social media that he signed the contract secretly from the family.

“He told me he was leaving when I was in the hospital with Mark. He sent me the contract and ticket. I was crying so much. They hadn«t even released me from the hospital yet,” Veronika shared.

According to her, Rasim went to serve to earn money for his mother, who suffers from alcohol dependence:

“I don«t believe that he signed the contract and left on his own. I think his mother is to blame. She nagged him for several months that he wasn»t working, even though he was working in a store. There was a moment when they argued, and it came to a fight. He told her: ‘I will go to the special military operation’. And she: ‘You«re a weakling, a coward, you don»t have the guts’. Everyone understands perfectly well that she only wants money.”

Rasim has had little communication with his family since enlisting in the special military operation.

The couple is not officially married. Rasim decided to write the power of attorney in his mother«s name.

“I already go to church every day. I don«t care about his mother. I»m just hurt that when he left, I tried to find out, to locate [where he is] — and his mother was sitting at home drinking,” added the program participant.

In the show«s episode, it was mentioned that Veronika could not finish the ninth grade of evening school for three years. At the educational institution, she met the guy Rasim, who also unsuccessfully tried to graduate from school. Their relationship developed rapidly, and soon they started living together.
