Psychics Probe Volgograd Woman's Demonic Possession Claims

On November 21, Vlad Cherevaty, Oleg Sheps, and Maryana Romanova made a stir with their arrival in the north of Volgograd. Fans of «Battle of the Strongest» knew this trip would be the final test for the psychics in the show«s second season, but it remained a mystery what these three were investigating and who they were helping? Today, December 6, the episode with them aired and it became clear: it»s all about a girl named Aziza who claims to be possessed by demons.

The challenge in Volgograd was the last for the three psychics in this season of «Battle of the Strongest», which Maryana Romanova mentioned in the car on the way from the airport to the hotel. Vlad Cherevaty, meanwhile, recalled that the very first test for him and Oleg Sheps also took place in Volgograd.

— Exactly a few years ago, we started with Oleg from Volgograd. And we«re ending today in Volgograd. It»s just, you know, a mystical event. Coincidence? I don«t think so.

— Very symbolic, — Oleg Sheps supported.

«Do I Have to Die?»

The psychics had to help 33-year-old Aziza. The girl grew up in a traditional Muslim family, but two years ago for some reason, during prayer (namaz), something strange happened to her: her hands cramped as if with convulsions. The attack repeated at work in a beauty salon. Her friend described Aziza«s laughter during the attack as rough, and added that jokingly another girl crossed her, causing the »possessed« one to shudder again.

Prayers didn«t help the girl — they only made her worse. Relatives turned to »exorcists«, as Aziza»s father put it, but that also brought no results. The «possessed» one said that an attack could start at any moment when it comes to religion and men: Aziza even told her husband that she hates him, precisely during an «attack». According to the girl, this is because her husband interferes with her «demon».

— He considers her his property, — explains Aziza«s friend. — He will behave like that because, as he says himself, presenting himself as a man and »this is mine«.

Aziza«s relatives and close ones fear that one day the »demon« will do something irreparable to her. According to her husband, there are situations when Aziza»s leg stopped moving while driving.

— «This is my body, and I»m not leaving from here«, — the girl conveys the words of her »demon«. — He told me: »I will leave either with the soul or with blood«. Do I have to die?

«She Doesn»t Want to Let Him Go«: Maryana Romanova»s Version

At first, the shaman began to investigate the house itself, as the essence of the family«s problem wasn»t immediately disclosed to the psychics; Maryana decided to check if the trouble was in the house itself. She seemed to not even pay attention to Aziza. This made the «possessed» one«s loved ones doubt the psychic»s abilities. However, soon Maryana began speaking with inhuman sounds, provoking an attack in Aziza.

— I decided to check something and started reading the «Our Father» in Aramaic, because it«s the most ancient prayer, — explained the shaman. — This is not Aziza anymore. Someone else is looking at me from her eyes. This is what we call demons, such a low-frequency, rotten entity. When I understood that it»s possession, that such an entity is tormenting her, I tuned into this entity.

The shaman decided not to stand on ceremony and exorcise the demon on the spot, because, according to her, it«s very dangerous for life and leads to death. The exorcism happened with the help of bread, which Aziza needed to bite but not swallow, but the »possessed« one resisted until the last moment, until Maryana literally forced her to do it. Then the bread had to be spat out during the shaman»s incantations. This didn«t help, and Maryana»s next words became a shock for Aziza«s loved ones.

— I, of course, apologize, she doesn«t want to let him go. It»s not that you want to be completely cleansed of him.

Aziza admitted that she«s afraid of losing a part of herself if the »demon« is driven away forever.

— Just like how he appeared, everything started going well for me, honestly. I think it«s him: everything went well for me in money, I completed training, opened my own studio, started working for myself, then opened an individual entrepreneur (IP), opened a salon. I think, is it me going like this or is someone helping me?

A contradiction arose. Aziza hesitated to let go of the «demon», while her relatives and close ones convinced her that if the girl doesn«t get rid of the possession, the possession will sooner or later get rid of her. Maryana gave her unexpected advice:

— Not sure if it«s good advice, and not sure dad will approve: to go down this path hand in hand with this [scoundrel]. Like a witch, perhaps. Just she will have controlled power that can improve her life.

The psychic was right: her father didn«t like this idea at all, and he tried to persuade his daughter, as did Vera Sotnikova, but Aziza still didn»t stop hesitating.

«She»s an Actress. It«s a Game»: Oleg Sheps«s Version

Upon hearing the task, the medium immediately surprised everyone with a question: «About the living or the dead?» He explained that he feels the presence of some woman who is somehow connected to Aziza«s family. From Oleg»s description, the girl«s family understood: it»s about Aziza«s mother. When the medium began his practice with the »possessed« one, she had an attack. A few minutes after talking with the »demon«, Oleg offered to take the entity himself. However, in the further dialogue with Aziza, the medium presented a completely different version of events.

— There«s nothing and never was. I»m telling you for sure, — said the psychic to the «possessed» one, holding her chin: the «demon» supposedly gets irritated by men, but didn«t react to him. — She»s not possessed and never was. You«re putting on a circus here, and you»re going along with her in all this. If you were possessed, you wouldn«t look like this now. You wouldn»t have a manicure, you take care of yourself. She«s an actress. It»s a game of possession.

Aziza«s loved ones couldn»t believe it, while Oleg insisted: he supposedly penetrated the girl«s mind and found no entities there. The goal of the performance, according to the psychic, was the girl»s desire to attract attention to herself.

— It«s convenient for her to be possessed. She»s cared for, worried about, which she doesn«t get from her beloved man. It»s a protective mechanism of our brain. She needs care, protection, support. You«re doing this unconsciously. I say »actress«, but I don»t want to offend you.

The problem, according to the psychic, lies with Aziza«s husband, Eldar, who allowed himself to raise a hand against his wife, which both her father and friend of the »possessed« one knew about.

— If a demon was really sitting in you, any demon would react to me, — explained Oleg Sheps. — You would attack me, start scratching out my eyes. You have a block, and it«s built around this man. The dude is a total abuser.

When Eldar entered the room, a conflict arose between him, the psychic, Aziza«s loved ones, and even Vera Sotnikova: the man didn»t want to admit that he hurt his wife, and even asked the host to «replay» the scene. A personal conversation with Oleg didn«t help the man calm down: the medium continued to insist that Eldar doesn»t love his wife and is a source of problems for her. Unsurprisingly, Oleg«s version wasn»t liked by Aziza«s husband. The heroine herself also didn»t much like the medium«s version: she was offended that Sheps called her an actress and didn»t take her seriously.

«Need to Negotiate with Him»: Vlad Cherevaty«s Version

The black magician was the most expected psychic for both Aziza«s loved ones and herself. Even before starting to solve the possession problem, Vlad amazed the family with stories about Aziza»s deceased brother and grandmother, as well as replays of scenes from her past.

When asked why he was called here, the psychic without hesitation pointed at Aziza and said: «Demons are sitting in her». Precisely «demons»: according to the psychic, two entities settled in the girl«s body.

— A priest exorcises with prayers, but I negotiate. I need them to leave amicably, lovingly, — explained the black magician. — First, we needed to talk it out. It was an agreement.

According to the show«s voiceover, Vlad Cherevaty spent over an hour trying to negotiate with the »demons« and finally it bore fruit: the main »demon« agreed to chicken meat, a fire, and came to the black magician. The subsequent conversations of the psychic with the »demons« are hard to describe in words: over the fire, he and Aziza held hands, as »ransom«, 40-proof alcohol was poured, a chicken was killed and burned.

According to Cherevaty, Aziza «picked up» the demons at a cemetery. The psychic promised to maintain contact with the girl and her family to complete the process. In the end, Aziza even managed to say words of prayer, although earlier this irritated the «demons».

«He»s Lying Low, but Still Sitting in Her«

After the test, all three psychics gathered in Aziza«s house. Maryana doubted the fact that Vlad got rid of the »demons«, and tried to call them back, which angered the black magician. According to him, the »demons« indeed didn»t leave completely: for full liberation, more time is needed.

Aziza«s family and the girl herself still regarded Oleg Sheps»s version with skepticism. The medium admitted: he understood it would be so and the «possessed» one wouldn«t listen to him, but still recommended seeing a psychologist.
