Perm Family Re-educates Wealthy Teen

Samira travelled to Kultaevo to stay with the Snigirev family during the filming.
On 7 October a new episode of the reality show «Chado iz ada» (12+) will air on channel «Ю» (transliteration ‘Yu’, TV channel ‘Yu’), featuring a large family from Kultaevo (Perm region). Yulia and Pavel took in a privileged teen, 17‑year‑old Samira from St. Petersburg, for re-education. Yulia told 59.RU what the daughter of wealthy parents demanded from an ordinary family and how they managed to find common ground with her.
The reality show «Chado iz ada» is a project of channel «Ю» (transliteration ‘Yu’). In each episode mazhor teenagers are placed for several days with ordinary families, most often large households with modest means. During that time the indulged offspring change their worldview and go through a genuine school of re-education.
Perm resident Yulia Snigireva, who recently gave birth to her fourth child, told 59.RU that in May their large family filmed for the TV show «Chado iz ada». The family sent a video application to casting and passed the selection process.
In the video the Snigirev family described themselves: Yulia works as a photographer, and her husband Pavel works at an auto service. In their free time the couple perform at corporate events and children’s parties as Ded Moroz and Snegurochka (Grandfather Frost and the Snow Maiden). The family enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors.
The filming of «Chado iz ada» took place in the Snigirevs’ home in Kultaevo (Perm region). For the re-education task the Perm family hosted 17‑year‑old Samira — the daughter of restaurateurs from St. Petersburg.
«Samira lived with us for four days, — Yulia told 59.RU. — The girl had demands far beyond her years. She demanded that her parents buy her an apartment in Dubai. For dinner she asked us for langoustines with gold leaf! Her relationship with her parents was strained. She has an older sister who already helps in the family business. I think Samira behaved like a spoiled teenager because of a lack of parental attention.»
At first Samira behaved like a mazhor (a spoiled rich kid), and the Perm family tried to find common ground with her. For example, instead of langoustines they all rolled sushi together.
«She enjoyed it very much, — Yulia recalls. — During that time Samira became friends with my eldest daughter; they are the same age. They spent a lot of time together. They helped nurse the puppies our dog gave birth to. Samira is studying dentistry, and at the veterinary clinic she was allowed to administer injections to the puppies.»
Trust and shared tasks changed Samira significantly. Yulia is convinced that this was exactly what the girl lacked. During filming the Snigirev family and their guest went on a hike to the banks of the Kama River.
«Samira really liked that we built a campfire and cooked outdoors, — Yulia told 59.RU. — It turned out that indifference and rude behavior — were only Samira’s mask. In reality she is very kind, not the prickly person she seemed at first. We gave her the opportunity to open up and to realize herself in some ways. Samira concluded that happiness is not only about money.»
Yulia is sure Samira’s parents understood they need to trust their daughter more and not consider her incapable, since the young woman is a self-sufficient person.
«During filming we had a conversation with Samira’s parents, — the Perm resident shared with 59.RU. — I told them what an impression it made on Samira that we as a family spend so much time together, go on hikes, listen to one another, and do things together.»

Samira became very close friends with Yulia and Pavel’s eldest daughter.
After filming Samira has kept in touch with the Snigirev family. Recently the Snigirevs’ eldest daughter traveled to St. Petersburg to visit her; the meeting was warm and friendly.
Earlier we wrote that Perm teenagers became participants in the second season of the survival show «Supernindzya. Deti» (Super Ninja. Kids) (12+) on the STS TV channel.
