New Season of 'The Mask': Valeria in Latex and Corset
The premiere of the seventh season of the show «The Mask» is scheduled for February 8. The organizers are maintaining the intrigue by not revealing the participants« names or costume details, but they have already announced the characters they will portray.
Traditionally, 14 people will take part in the project. The judges« task is to determine who is hiding behind the mask, despite the altered voice and a costume that completely conceals the person»s appearance. Jury members may ask questions and build theories, while participants are allowed to use any tricks to remain incognito.
However, cunning is not the only condition for success. Each performer must impress the judges and audience with their act, as it is the weaker performances that are nominated for elimination.
Fighting for victory this season will be:

- Beaver
- Bogatyr (a hero from Russian folklore)
- Hippopotamus
- Giraffe
- Beetle
- Hummingbird
- Coral
- Fox
- Frog
- Moon
- Dandelion
- Bullfinch
- Meerkat
To complicate the judges« task, all the costumes were made in a way that does not correspond to the artists» real physical parameters. Thus, the jury loses the ability to rely on height or build.
The mysterious performers will be guessed by the permanent jury members Regina Todorenko and Timur Rodriguez. They will once again be joined by singer Valeria.
For Valeria, the designers have prepared outfits as spectacular as those for the participants. In one episode, she will appear in a red latex dress reminiscent of the Red Queen from «Alice in Wonderland», and in another—in a metal corset and arm guards similar to knight«s armor. These looks demonstrate that the singer is fully ready for the challenges of the new season.
“It is very interesting that we cannot guess those we know well, because when they put on the mask, the artists sing and behave completely differently. For every jury member, the unmasking is a colossal surprise and a celebration. Sometimes you don’t even want to guess!” Valeria shared.
The chairman of the jury, as before, will be Filipp Kirkorov. He usually chooses classic costumes in non-standard colors, but judging by photos from the shoot, in one episode the singer will wear a baseball cap, a meme T-shirt, and a fishnet top. Perhaps in this way he will support a participant performing rap.
“Intuition usually doesn’t let me down. But «The Mask» is a very confusing project. The producers and artists have already learned to confuse us so well, become so adept, that with every season guessing becomes harder and harder. But I am not afraid to look funny, absurd, I am not afraid to make mistakes,” Kirkorov stated before the start of the season.
