‘Many Never Saw Black Skin’: African Man Becomes Mr. Siberia
20-year-old Trezor Ligan is from Benin and could hardly have imagined becoming famous in a Siberian city. He came to Barnaul to study: the young man enrolled at Altai State Polytechnic University to become a programmer. Outside of classes, Trezor unexpectedly found himself in the modeling industry and ultimately became the holder of the title «Mr. Siberia — 2025». What difficulties he faced after moving to Russia, why he considered returning home, and what pushed him to take the runway — we tell in the video NGS22.RU.
Already in Barnaul, Trezor was noticed by representatives of Tatiana Zhilina«s modeling agency and offered to try modeling. At first, the young man was wary of this offer: he doubted that the message came from a real person and wasn»t sure the agency actually existed.
After consulting with friends and researching information online, Trezor decided to agree after all.
‘After the finale, I sent photos to my mom, she was shocked but very happy. All of Siberia — and I am the winner. For now, I don«t know if I»ll continue with this. Perhaps my victory is just a miracle?’ reflects Mr. Siberia.
