Husband explains throwing child into snowdrift in viral video

Sergei Kosenko, the husband of Yaroslavl coach Sasha Belair and an online entrepreneur, spoke for the first time about the video where he threw his son into a snowdrift. The video was published in January 2024 and sparked a scandal. Moreover, it was of such scale that two criminal cases were opened against Kosenko under the articles «Failure to fulfill parental duties» and «Attempted infliction of grievous bodily harm». Because of this, the blogger was declared wanted.

At that time, Kosenko and his wife lived in America, and in 2025 they moved to Dubai, where they bought a luxurious apartment with a pool for 3 million dollars. During this period, he did not return to Russia.

On 12 October 2025, an interview with TV host Viktoria Bonya was released on Sergei Kosenko«s channel. During the filming, she asked the blogger: «Will you throw your second newborn child into the sea with sharks, like you did the first one into the snow?»

Kosenko answered the provocative question in detail. If previously he claimed that the video of throwing the infant into the snowdrift was edited, here he honestly admitted to wanting to go viral.

«I was 36 years old at the time. I incredibly loved popular videos. I see online a video with 5 million likes where a girl takes a child and throws him into a snowdrift. And he lands so beautifully. I think: “Oh my God, this is an incredibly cute video that must definitely appear in my feed too”», — said Kosenko.

He also said that a video went viral on social media where children with arm floats are thrown into the sea. Kosenko admitted that this trend was the next one the blogger wanted to repeat, but refrained.

«I started thinking later, does the child drown or float afterwards? Now, of course, it seems like a crazy thought to me», — added Sergei Kosenko.
