The expedition tour to Antarctica, which started on January 25, brought together popular bloggers Karina Nigay, Samira Mustafayeva, Sasha Zharkova, comedian Ilya Sobolev with well-known Rostovites — Nikolai Vasilenko, who is called the smiling man, and billionaire from Novoshakhtinsk Alexey Frolov. The route began in Buenos Aires, from where the group flew by private jet to Ushuaia, where an expedition liner awaited them.

While passing through the Drake Passage, the vessel encountered a severe storm, which the crew classified as a red danger level. Wave heights exceeded seven meters. Due to the intense rocking, passengers had to hold onto handrails to move around the ship.

On board, a rich program was organized for participants, including workouts, lectures, and formal dinners. Alexey Frolov spoke on the topic «Health as Capital: Why Physical Fitness is Your Best Investment». After discussing business questions, he together with his wife Victoria answered questions about family life. Nikolai Vasilenko held a talk «The World in 2050. The Transient and the Eternal», having first read excerpts from his favorite books. Travelers were also given briefings on behavior rules in Antarctica, where a meeting with penguins was planned.

As part of the program, an ice ball was held, for which guests selected elegant costumes. Late in the evening Moscow time, the liner reached the Antarctic islands, and participants saw land for the first time.

Karina Nigay noted that ships have historically faced challenges in the Drake Passage.

The cost of such tours, according to information on the travel company«s social networks, starts from 8.4 thousand dollars. The organizers have planned expeditions to Patagonia, Baikal, China, Jordan, and South Africa. The next trip to Antarctica is scheduled only for 2027.
