Stuttering was inherited

Anya was born and raised in Yaroslavl. From early childhood, she felt that she was different from others, but she perceived her stuttering not as a flaw, but as an advantage.

«Thanks to my family, I never thought that stuttering was bad. I didn«t think it could become a subject for bullying. When I joined various groups, I noticed that no one stuttered, only me. And I thought: so, I»m the only one like this. How cool!»

Bullying is systematic psychological or physical violence, harassment, humiliation of a person by others. Often, children are the targets of bullying.

The blogger«s stuttering is hereditary. It is observed in every second child in the family. A similar diagnosis is present in her grandmother, mother, and Anya herself.

«Every second girl in the family stutters. I have an older brother, he doesn«t stutter, but I do. My mother is also the second, my grandmother is the second, and they all stutter. So if I have a second daughter, she will also stutter,» explained Anya.

In childhood, Anya«s mother took her to various healers who promised to rid the girl of stuttering.

«It was my favorite entertainment. You come to some little grandmothers, they have many icons, candles, and other attributes in their houses. They sit you in the center of the room and start walking around, whispering something,» shares Anya.

The blogger notes that her stuttering is not related to the nervous system.

«I don«t have it that the more nervous I am, the more I stutter. Rather the opposite. In stressful moments, I start to gather myself internally and speak clearly,» noted Anya.

According to her memories, in childhood she didn«t particularly work with speech therapists. With age, she learned to manage her speech on her own.

«Gradually, I learned to cope on my own: finding ways out of situations where I can stutter less, selecting synonyms, breathing correctly to smooth out speech. Thanks to this, now I can speak quite freely. I have experience — I understand where I might stammer and where I need to control my speech,» told Anya Vinograd.

How she decided to start blogging

In 2018, Anya moved from Yaroslavl to Moscow. First, she got a job as a waitress in one of the food service establishments in the city center, then in a hookah lounge.

«At some point, I worked very hard and truly loved my job — lived for it. When I came home, and I lived alone, I was bored. I liked the job so much that even on weekends I wanted to return. During the quarantine in 2020, the boredom became especially noticeable, and I decided to start making videos on TikTok,» recalls the beginning of her blogging career Anya.

After gaining popularity, Anya made blogging her primary occupation, leaving her previous jobs.

But at that time, the videos gained few views. Mostly, Anya filmed dances and lip-syncs to popular music. To gain experience, she got a job as a manager for a blogger. He suggested to her that stuttering could be made the trademark of the blog. The same thought was confirmed by her friend, and then the girl decided it was a sign.

«One day, unwashed, uncombed, in some dirty old pajamas that are older than me, I just woke up and decided to film a video about my stuttering. And I did it. This video gained the first million views,» told Anya.

Afterwards, the blogger filmed a video where she talked about her family and their support. The sincerity won the hearts of the audience, and the video spread to 15 million people.

At first, Anya tried to combine blogging with her main job: she woke up three hours before her shift to conduct filming, and on the way to work, she edited and posted the videos. But the blog started to grow, and gradually more time was required. Now blogging is the main field of activity for Anya.

According to data for October 2025, on TikTok, Anya has 1.3 million subscribers, on Likee — 12 million, and on YouTube — 784 thousand.

Hate on social media

With millions of views, a lot of haters fell upon the blogger. In the comments, they criticized the girl«s appearance.

«When the entire internet in Russia offends and bullies you, it«s a bit scary. Despite the fact that at that time I was already an adult 23-year-old woman, it was painful and offensive that the entire internet was laughing at my stuttering,» noted Anya.

But the blogger survived the crisis period. The hate didn«t disappear — people continue to write nasty things. Some even don»t believe that Anya actually stutters, as in some videos it«s almost unnoticeable. But the blogger tries not to pay attention to it.

Anya does not plan to stop at what has been achieved. The plans are to develop the blog and improve the quality of her videos.
