Voronezh to Raise Maximum Kindergarten Fees: New Prices Explained

The maximum fee for kindergartens will increase in Voronezh this year. This is an annual measure tied to inflation. The regional Ministry of Education«s bill with new rates was published on January 28 on the website for anti-corruption expert review.
The maximum fee will rise by 3-4% compared to last year. The upper limit is set to be at the following levels:
- up to 5 hours per day — 1,147 rubles per month (about $13 at current rates);
- up to 8-10 hours per day — 3,307 rubles per month (about $37 at current rates);
- 10-12 hours per day — 4,586 rubles per month (about $51 at current rates);
- 24-hour stay — 4,815 rubles per month (about $54 at current rates).
Note that in practice, the price may be lower (as was the case last year), but not higher. Currently, Voronezh kindergartens charge the following fees:
- up to 5 hours per day — 1,102 rubles per month (about $12 at current rates);
- up to 8-10 hours per day — 3,439 rubles per month (about $38 at current rates);
- 10-12 hours per day — 4,410 rubles per month (about $49 at current rates);
- 24-hour stay — 4,630 rubles per month (about $51 at current rates).
