On January 27, schools in Ulyanovsk canceled classes for students in grades 1-4. The corresponding notification was sent to parent chat groups. Earlier, the regional Ministry of Education and Upbringing recommended keeping primary school students at home. The final decision was made by school administrations. Classes for grades 5 through 11 will proceed as usual.
Recall that on January 26, all Ulyanovsk schoolchildren stayed home. Overnight, the city recorded temperatures of -32 degrees Celsius (-26°F). In the coming days, the cold will begin to subside. As reported by the regional Hydrometeorological Center, a western cyclone is approaching, which will bring warmer air and wind. The air temperature will rise by six to eight degrees Celsius, and by the end of the week, the warming will become even more noticeable. At the same time, forecasters predict precipitation, with possible light snowstorms.
