Omsk Kindergartens Face Shortage of 132 Teachers

As of January 15, 2026, Omsk kindergartens are short 132 teachers. On average, based on last year«s results, such employees earn 48,496 rubles ($539 at current rates). The information was shared with NGS55.RU by the city department of education.
«Vacant hours are distributed among the main workers of educational institutions in accordance with the Labor Code of the Russian Federation,» the department added.
To cope with the staff shortage, they conduct career guidance classes in schools, pay increased salaries and one-time monetary rewards to young employees, and attract senior students from pedagogical universities and colleges to work.
