Oh, Tanya! Women from Chita Remember Their Student Days

A woman named Tatyana shares her warm memories of college life and friendships.
On Tatyana«s Day, it is customary to congratulate women who bear this beautiful name and students, whose patron saint is Saint Tatiana of Rome. We decided to combine the two and asked our female readers named Tatyana about their student years.

Another Tatyana recalls the romance of train trips and participating in model UN conferences.
«The Best Years of My Life»

The photo shows Tatyana Baksheeva from her student days.
Everyone who has ever been a student surely remembers those unforgettable days filled with new discoveries, friendship, and memorable moments. I graduated in 2001 from the Aginsky Pedagogical College named after B. Rinchino (in the Agin-Buryat Okrug, Zabaykalsky Krai). Together with my classmates, we experienced joys and difficulties, helped each other with writing term papers, prepared for exams, and simply spent time together in a fun and friendly atmosphere. It is precisely such relationships that stay with us for life.

A contributor describes her active involvement in volunteer corps and student teams.
Every holiday at the college and in the dormitory became a real event. Whether it was a student concert, sports competitions, or just a party in the dormitory — all of it left unforgettable impressions and warm memories.

Tatyana Puzyrevich poses for a portrait in this photograph.
I studied easily and with pleasure. This year marks 25 years since my college graduation. I remember my student years as the best years of my life. They were filled with active and rich communication and an extraordinary sense of collectivism.

This is another image of Tatyana Puzyrevich, one of the women sharing her story.
I congratulate everyone involved on Student«s Day! I wish you patience and diligence. May knowledge come easily to you and may you be able to realize yourselves in your future lives. May the patron saint of students, Saint Tatiana, help you in all your endeavors!
«Minimum Worries and Maximum Impressions»
It«s not for nothing they say student years are wonderful. Even though they ended for me more than 10 years ago, I always remember them fondly. During those 5 years, besides studying, there was so much: various conferences and round tables (scholarships were given for high results), I was part of a socio-pedagogical student team, thanks to which my student years became interesting, rich, and bright (thank you, UmaMoreATy), and I even had enough time to work.
With the team we went to training camps at «Parus», worked at a children«s camp in Amur Oblast. The train, songs with a guitar, endless expanses outside the window — pure romance. I participated in the »International Model UN« conference, was both a participant and an organizer of this event in the Zabaykalsky Krai, and also managed to travel to Yaroslavl and Moscow for it. Besides giving excellent experience in public speaking, negotiation, and discussion, such conferences also involve cultural events that take place after the sessions.
Yaroslavl captivated me with its beauty, tranquility, and spaciousness, and the ball at MGIMO (Moscow State Institute of International Relations) — that was something incredible. Hundreds of students — young men in classic suits and tuxedos, young women in evening dresses — waltzing slowly. Those 5 years at Zabaykalsky State University (ZabGU) gave me minimum worries and maximum impressions.
«My Student Years Gave Me Unique People»
My student years were bright and eventful, surrounded by interesting people and events memorable for a lifetime. The first significant community I joined was volunteers: «Victory Volunteers», and the «Iskra» (Spark) volunteer corps at the youth center of the same name. The corps gave me the opportunity to lead people as a supervisor, to immerse myself in the field of volunteering, and to become passionate about such an important direction.
Further on, my student life was actively realized in student teams alongside volunteer work. The «Sherbet» student pedagogical team became my second family at the time, where every bit of effort and soul invested dissolved in the unity of the team«s members. Every summer season starting from 2018, I spent in children»s camps as a counselor-educator, also having worked for half a year at the All-Russian Children«s Center »Orlyonok«. With the teams from Zabaykalsky Krai, we carried out two »Snow Landing« volunteer actions in 2018 and 2020.
At my home Faculty of Economics and Management of ZabGU, I was also actively involved: competitions («The Magnificent Five», «Mr. and Miss ZabGU — 2019»), implementing activities through the faculty«s youth council. At the same time, I managed to study, sometimes catching up on missed classes when it was impossible to fit everything into one day.
My student years gave me interesting, different, and unique people, huge social experience, tools for growing as a personality and a member of a large society, skills to adapt to any situation, and, of course, the ability not to lose heart and to believe in myself and others, which helps me to this day.
