Due to the returning frosts in Kurgan today, January 21, classes for students from first to fourth grade of the second shift have been canceled. This was reported by the Kurgan Center for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring (Kurgan TsGMS). At 08:53, a temperature of -26.6 degrees Celsius (-16°F) was recorded in the city. In the morning, classes for elementary school students of the first shift were also canceled. During the day in Kurgan, it will be -21 to -26°C (-6 to -15°F), with a northeast wind of 4-9 m/s.

Kurgan meteorologists warn that the abnormal frosts in the Kurgan region will last until January 26. The average daily air temperature will be seven or more degrees below the climatic norm.
