In Kuzbass, daycare centers with extended stay until 8 p.m. will appear. On Tuesday, January 27, Education Minister Sofya Balakireva clarified during a press conference who they will be available for.

Daycare centers with extended hours and even round-the-clock care are ready to be created for parents with non-standard work schedules.

“We already have such experience. Where needed, we have already organized round-the-clock care. In some places, on the contrary, they want short-stay groups. If requests come from parents, then it is possible on a case-by-case basis,” the head of the department reported.

To create such groups, according to the minister, a collective application from parents is necessary.

She also noted that all daycare centers, including those with extended stay, have different schedules for teachers. In some places, educators work two days on, two days off, while in others they change shifts halfway through the day.

Recently, President Vladimir Putin promised to change the operation of daycare centers across Russia. Extended groups are meant to help mothers return to work as soon as possible.
