Parents of children attending Kindergarten No. 23 on Beketova Street in Chita complained to Chita.Ru on January 26 that it is cold in their child«s group — without a heater, the temperature does not rise above 16°C (61°F). The education committee responded that the cause is that the heat and power company, TGC-14, is supplying insufficiently heated water to the heating system.

“It«s cold in one group at Kindergarten No. 23 in Chita. They repaired pipes in the summer, dug everything up, and maybe messed something up. Or didn»t connect it properly. This was happening before the New Year and continues now. In other groups, everything is normal. In the «Butterflies» group, it«s 18°C (64°F) with a heater. In the bedroom, it»s only 16. I saw it myself today. We have to dress the children warmer and turn on the heater. Can the committee somehow solve this problem?” one of the parents said.

The city education committee responded that specialists from the technical and material support service checked the heating system in the kindergarten and found that the temperature indeed does not meet the standards.

According to the committee, the temperature is low because the water entering the heating system is not hot enough and is supplied with low pressure, and the group is at the end of the kindergarten«s heating system. This hinders normal heat circulation. The committee sent a letter to TGC-14 asking to fix the situation and ensure the supply of hot water in accordance with established norms.

The editorial office requested a comment from TGC-14, but by the time of publication, no response had been received.
