Cold weather keeps schools closed in Yugra cities on January 27

In Yugra, on January 27, a school closure day has been declared for second-shift students. Due to low air temperatures, classes are canceled for pupils:
- Surgut — grades 1 through 4;
- Nizhnevartovsk — grades 1 through 4;
- Langepas — grades 1 through 4;
- Raduzhny — grades 1 through 8;
- Megion — grades 1 through 4.
Also, school closures have been declared in the settlements of Nizhnevartovsk district:
- Korliki — grades 1 through 11;
- Novoagansk, Chekhlomey, Laryak, Varyegan, Okhteurye — grades 1 through 8;
- Vata, Vakhovsk, Bolshetarkhovo, Izluchinsk, Pokur, Zaitseva Rechka — grades 1 through 4.
At the time of the announcement, the air temperature in cities and settlements was at -26…-35 degrees Celsius (-15…-31 degrees Fahrenheit). This was reported by the website «Gosuslugi. Moya Yugra».
Earlier we wrote that high school students in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Yugra (KhMAO) complained to Mizulina about the absence of school closures in severe frost, and also that they are freezing during lessons. And also that Surgut residents were outraged by the absence of school closures for high school students in severe frost.
