Chita Medical Academy Honors Top Students
The rector«s reception at ChSMA is an annual celebration for students of the medical academy.
A ceremonial rector«s reception was held at the Chita State Medical Academy (ChSMA) to mark Russian Student Day. This is a traditional celebration at the medical academy where the achievements of students, graduate students, and residents who achieve significant results in studies, science, public, and professional activities are honored.
One of the winning students admitted that this is a valuable award for her.
The event opened with the national anthem of the Russian Federation performed by the student choir «Gaudeamus». Acting rector of ChSMA Natalya Lareva addressed the students with a welcoming speech:
Today is your holiday – a day of youth and a period of life that is always remembered with special warmth. Student life is perhaps the happiest time in life. A time when much is within your reach, when you manage to study, engage in science, creativity, sports, and volunteering. I very much hope that, entering the academy«s walls and years later, you will always feel at home.
She wished that ChSMA would become a place of strength for students, a place they want to return to for knowledge and motivation.
One of the key nominations at the rector«s reception was »Knowledge is Power«. It awarded students for excellent studies, responsibility, and initiative. Medical education requires high discipline and complete dedication, and the laureates of this nomination confirm this daily through their work.
«My parents taught me how to study. Thanks to them, I know how to plan time properly and cope with difficulties. For me, this award is a very big and important event,» shared the nomination winner Maria Dubrovina, a student of the medical faculty.
The «Scientific Progress» nomination recognized those who are actively developing in research activities.
«Research work at ChSMA starts from the first year. It is a long path that requires involvement, but it is precisely this that yields results,» said the nomination winner, graduate student Viktor Pershin.
According to him, what attracts him in science is «the unknown and vast opportunities for development».
The «Professional Competence» nomination was dedicated to assisting practical healthcare. It recognized second-year resident in the specialty «Pediatrics» Altana Vanchikova:
«This nomination is a great honor for me. I am grateful that my merits as a doctor were recognized. In this profession, the main thing is to love your work and sincerely want to help,» said Altana Vanchikova.
A special nomination was «Pride of the Academy». It was awarded for participation and victory in the All-Russian National Award «Student of the Year», as well as for active involvement in the life of the academy.
«When from the stage of your home Academy you are called its pride, it is very valuable. Behind this is daily work – studies, science, and public activity,» shared the winner and student of the pediatric faculty Vitaly Grigoryev.
48 people were awarded in 10 nominations. The rector«s reception became a symbol of recognition of the labor, determination, and dedication to the future profession of ChSMA students. Those who already today influence the life of the university, as well as medicine and science.
