30.7 Thousand Enrollees: Student Numbers Rise in Novosibirsk Region

In the Novosibirsk Region, at the start of the 2025/2026 academic year, 104.7 thousand students are enrolled in higher professional education programs. This data is provided by Novosibirskstat.

The majority of students study full-time — 68.9 thousand people. 28.6 thousand study by correspondence, and 7.2 thousand study in a combined format.

«During the 2025 admissions campaign, 30.7 thousand applicants were enrolled in the first year (29.3% of the total number of students). Of the accepted first-year students, 47.3% study at the expense of budgetary allocations, 52.7% under contracts for paid educational services,» the statement says.

At the same time, it is noted that the number of students has increased. In the 2024–2025 academic year, 102.9 thousand people were studying in the region. The majority of them are women — 53.5%.
