15% of Saratov College Graduates Not Employed in Their Profession

The proportion of graduates from Saratov colleges and technical schools who get jobs in their field of study has increased by 5% over the year and reached 85%. These figures were announced by Governor Roman Busargin at a meeting of the regional government.
The head of the region noted that the positive trend is the result of systematic work to develop secondary professional education (SPO) institutions. The governor instructed the regional Ministry of Education to ensure the constant updating of training programs in colleges and technical schools. Since 2022, 51 specialties have been updated in the region so that educational programs meet the real needs of the economy.
«One of the important roles in this is played by close interaction with our enterprises, which shape personnel needs. Ideally, such an established link, connecting the demand for specialists in production and their actual training in educational institutions, should cover all enterprises in the region,» noted Roman Busargin.
He also added that this year, the modernization of five SPO institutions is planned. These colleges are located in Saratov, Balashov, Volsk, and Balakovo.
