In 2025, machine operators and smelters received the highest salary offers for shift work in Krasnodar Krai. This was reported by experts from the Avito Rabota service, who analyzed employer vacancies over the past year.

Machine operators led the ranking, with average monthly offers of 256,200 rubles (approximately $2,600 at current rates). Over the year, the pay level for these positions increased by 51%. Machine operators are employed at large construction and industrial sites and operate specialized equipment, which requires high qualifications and strict adherence to safety requirements.

In second place were smelters, working in metallurgical production. The average salary offer for them was 248,700 rubles per month (approximately $2,500 at current rates), which is 39% more than a year earlier.

The top three highest-paid shift work professions were rounded out by defectoscopists (specialists in non-destructive testing, identifying defects in materials and structures). Applicants for these vacancies were offered an average of 235,000 rubles per month (approximately $2,400 at current rates). Over the year, salary offers for specialists in quality control of materials and welded joints increased by 49%.

The average figures are calculated based on salary ranges indicated in the vacancies. Actual income may vary depending on the shift duration — companies offer different schedules, from 15 to 90 days.

According to Andrey Kucherenkov, director of the «Workers and Linear Professions» category, in 2025, the shift employment segment saw steady income growth. On average, salary offers increased by 11% and reached 154,400 rubles per month (approximately $1,500 at current rates). Employers are willing to pay more for work in difficult conditions, remote regions, and amid a shortage of qualified personnel.
