Inflation in Voronezh: Fish Prices Rise from 2023 to 2025

Over the 2023–2025 period, fish in Voronezh stores has noticeably increased in price. Voronezh1.ru conducts photo monitoring of prices to track real inflation.

Examples of price increases from 2023 to 2025:

Hake: In 2023 a kilogram cost 310 rubles (about $3 at current rates), in 2024 it was already 390 rubles (about $4). By the end of 2025 the price soared to 750 rubles per kg (about $8) at the Central Market, i.e., it increased almost 2.5 times.

Sea bass: It went up from 352 rubles (about $4 at current rates) in 2023 to 460 rubles (about $5) in 2024 and 520 rubles (about $6) in 2025.

Pink salmon: It cost 316 rubles per kg (about $4 at current rates) in 2023, in 2024 it was from 349 rubles (about $4) on sale. In 2025 the price approached 600 rubles (about $7).

Salmon steak: One of the most noticeable jumps: from 1450 rubles (about $16 at current rates) in 2023 and 1582 rubles (about $18) in 2024 to 1899 rubles per kilogram (about $21) at the end of 2025.

More pronounced growth, as in the country as a whole, was shown by delicacy types, such as Atlantic salmon and trout. But hake also showed noticeable growth.
