In Udmurtia, the rules for providing the unified child benefit have changed since January. This was reported by the press service of the Udmurt Republic branch of the Social Fund of Russia (SFR).

The unified benefit is an important support measure for families with children and pregnant women. In 2025, more than 90 thousand residents of the republic received this payment. In 2026, the benefit will continue to be paid, but its amount will change.

Families whose monthly income per person does not exceed the regional subsistence minimum can apply for the payment. As of January 2026, this indicator in Udmurtia is 16,856.00 RUB (approx. $187 at current rates). Moreover, as noted by the press service of the Udmurt Republic branch of the SFR, there is another important restriction affecting the right to receive the benefit. The income of each able-bodied family member, including wages, social benefits, and sick leave payments, for 12 months must be at least 8 times the minimum wage (МРОТ) — that is 216,744.00 RUB (approx. $2,400).

Due to the increase in the regional subsistence minimum, the amount of the unified benefit has also increased. Already in February, residents of Udmurtia will receive payments taking into account the new indicators:

  • 50% of the child subsistence minimum — 8,175.00 RUB (approx. $91);

  • 75% of the child subsistence minimum — 12,262.50 RUB (approx. $136);

  • 100% of the child subsistence minimum — 16,350 RUB (approx. $182).

The benefit amount for pregnant women has also changed:

  • 50% of the subsistence minimum for the able-bodied population — 9,186.50 RUB (approx. $102);

  • 75% of the subsistence minimum for the able-bodied population — 13,779.75 RUB (approx. $153);

  • 100% of the subsistence minimum for the able-bodied population — 18,373.00 RUB (approx. $204).
