In addition, vegetable-based baby food has become 2.1% more expensive per week for residents of the Ryazan region. Its average price reaches 648 rubles per kilogram (about $8 at current rates).
And beetroot (down 1.9%) and beef (down 1.5%) have become cheaper. On average, these products can be purchased in Ryazan stores for 33 and 700 rubles respectively (about $0 and $9 at current rates).
In December 2025, inflation in the Ryazan region slowed to 7.1%. According to experts from the Central Bank of Russia, price growth was restrained by increased supply and high stocks of certain goods: for example, cereals became cheaper.
“There are always goods that become more expensive and those that become cheaper. But the nature of human psychology is such that price increases are remembered better. For a complete picture, it is necessary to compare the same set of goods and services over a sufficiently long period of time. This will allow for a real assessment of personal inflation,” said Sergey Kuznetsov, head of the Ryazan branch of the Bank of Russia.
Economists believe that in 2025, inflation in the Ryazan region will drop to 4-5%, and subsequently stabilize at 4%.
