Altai Krai to increase one-time childbirth allowance
The allowance is provided for each child in cases of twins or triplets.
From February 1, the one-time childbirth allowance will be increased in Altai Krai. This was announced by the regional Social Fund.
After indexation, as noted by the Altai branch, the payment amount will be about 28.5 thousand rubles (approximately $317 at current rates).
The press service reminded that the allowance can be received not only by parents, but also by guardians or adoptive parents. The application must be submitted within six months of the child«s birth. In the case of twins or triplets, the payment is assigned for each child.
In 2025, more than 11,000 families in Altai Krai received this allowance. Everyone is eligible for the payment, regardless of income or employment status. For working parents, the allowance is automatically calculated through the employer. Unemployed individuals need to submit an application to the Social Fund.
