Waste operator shows recycling of Samara's Christmas trees

The regional operator JSC «Ekologiya» showed where New Year trees go after Samara residents left them in specialized boat-shaped bins.

«From various districts of Samara, we collected 22 special containers and sent 176 cubic meters of live trees for recycling,» said representatives of the waste management operator.

«Ekologiya» showed the entire process: first, the trees are removed, then loaded into a shredder that turns conifers into wood chips, and then the recycled wood is sent to its destination.

«The wood chips were transferred for the needs of the equestrian club »Voskhod,«» reports «Ekologiya.»

Representatives of the operator thanked all Samara residents who joined the tree collection.

«We hope that this campaign will become a good tradition for everyone,» wrote the press service of JSC «Ekologiya.»

And on January 13, Samara residents were alarmed: part of the decorations was removed from Kuibyshev Square, and citizens were upset with the mayor. He was even given the nickname «Grinch-Noskov». The city hall explained the situation: only video screens have been removed from the square so far.
