Samara Oblast weekend special regime warns dozens of enterprises

A first-level adverse meteorological conditions warning has been declared for several cities.
On Friday evening, January 23, a weather-related regime will come into effect in Samara Oblast.
«From 19:00 on January 23 to 12:00 on January 26, meteorological conditions unfavorable for the dispersion of harmful impurities in the air are expected for emission sources in Samara, Novokuybyshevsk, Syzran, Otradny, Chapayevsk and the urban-type settlement of Bezenchuk. A first-level adverse meteorological conditions (AMC) warning has been declared,» the Volga Department for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring (Volga UGMS) reported.
First-level adverse meteorological conditions (AMC) are declared when the concentration of one or more controlled pollutants is expected to exceed 1 MPC (maximum permissible concentration). Under the first-level AMC regime, experts recommend limiting time spent outdoors, ventilating rooms only with air conditioners, exercising in covered complexes, and traveling to suburban areas with more favorable meteorological conditions.
Forecasters have issued warnings to the following enterprises:
Samara — JSC «KNPZ», JSC «EPK Samara», JSC «Metallist-Samara», JSC «RKC Progress», PJSC «Samara Plant Ekran», JSC «Group of Companies Electroshchit-TM Samara», LLC «Multon Partners», PJSC «ODK-Kuznetsov», LLC «SKS», LLC «Instrument Bearing Plant», JSC «Samaranefteprodukt», JSC PCC «Vesna», Municipal Enterprise «TTU»;
Novokuybyshevsk — JSC «NK NPZ», JSC «NNK», JSC «RN-Trans», LLC «Nov. zavod masel i prisadok» (New Oil and Additives Plant), JSC «NkOS», JSC «Ekologiya»;
Syzran — JSC «Syzran Oil Refinery», JSC «Transneft-Druzhba», JSC «Samaranefteprodukt»;

Chapayevsk — JSC «Promsyntez», CJSC «Khimsyntez», JSC «Muromets»;
Bezenchuk — JSC «Samaranefteprodukt».
People call such meteorological conditions the «black sky» regime. This is how laymen characterize days when forecasters predict calm winds and no precipitation.
In such weather, pollutants begin to accumulate in the air (which in other situations are dispersed by the wind or washed to the ground by rain). Meteorologists themselves do not use the term «black sky».
A first-level AMC regime was introduced in the same territory several days ago.
