Residents of Samara region continue to appeal to the governor with requests. An unusual demand appeared under a post in Vyacheslav Fedorishchev«s public page on the social network VKontakte.

«The flood in 2026 is forecast to be stronger than in 2024. I request to cut down the forest in the village of Utevka along the old bed of the Samara River and the ravine that runs along the village of Utevka. This is necessary to prevent blockages and dams during water outflow during the Samara flood,» wrote Igor Statenko.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of Samara region hurried to respond to the puzzled man.

«Igor, hello. No such forecasts have been received. The Federal Agency for Water Resources conducted a survey of the water body to make a decision on clearing. We have sent a request to the agency for clarification,» promised representatives of the regional Ministry of Natural Resources.

But the resident of Samara region was not satisfied with this answer.

«In 2024, they said the same thing!» wrote the dissatisfied Igor Statenko.

We conducted a live broadcast about the evacuation of residents and their pets. All materials about the flood are collected in one story.
