In the ornithological park of the Imeretinskaya lowland in Sirius, a red-breasted goose was spotted and even photographed. Ornithologists consider this a lucky find, as not everyone is fortunate enough to see this bird, which is rare and vulnerable. This species of waterfowl is listed in Russia«s Red Book and the International Union for Conservation of Nature»s Red List. Photographs by Alexei Khoroshev were published on his Telegram channel by Sochi guide Semyon Simonov.

The bird is very sociable and tames easily, but it is better observed from a distance.

wrote Semyon Simonov.

Red-breasted geese winter in Bulgaria, Romania, and the Black Sea region, and they fly to southern Russia when warm weather sets in.
