The first route, named «Sirius», is 10.8 km long. It will connect the Ornithological Park in the eastern part of the federal territory with the «Southern Cultures» dendrological park in its western part. This will be the longest suspended eco-trail in Europe.
The second pedestrian route (7.5 km), named «River», will also run through the entire Sirius from the Mzymta to the Psou rivers along water arteries.
It is expected that up to 12,000 people will use the new routes daily. It is planned that the «Sirius» eco-trail will pass near the currently under-construction campus of the Sirius University of Science and Technology. No construction timeline has been announced.
The authorities of Sirius are confident that they are creating an urban space where walking and cycling are the priority and conscious choice of local residents and tourists.
