Many have faced the situation of a closet overflowing with items that haven«t been worn in ages. Some simply throw old clothes in the trash, while others let them gather dust on shelves for years. If you want to dispose of them properly or give them a second life, send them for recycling.

There are several drop-off points across Krasnodar where you can leave unwanted items — efforts are made to monitor these points and prevent regular trash from being dumped in the bins.

Eco-center «Clean Environment» (Chistaya Sreda)

An eco-center that functions as a secondary raw materials collection point. You can donate items in good, reusable condition here. For example, any shirts, jeans, t-shirts, sweaters. They should not be heavily worn. The items are later sent to the upcycling workshop Nevrubashka — where they make unique bags, hoodies, jackets, and shirts.

«Clean Environment» does not accept shoes, bags, underwear, socks, leather, or fur items. Clothing you bring must be clean and dry. One point is located in the «Tabris» supermarket, another — in the eco-center itself.

  • Sormovskaya Street, 108/1 («Tabris» supermarket, from 07:00 to 01:00 daily);

  • Odesskaya Street, 48 (Eco-center «Clean Environment», from 12:00 to 20:00 daily).

The center also accepts packaging, bottle caps, craft materials, and decorations. A full list can be viewed on the official website. Furthermore, the center often holds various events — workshops on renovating items, environmental lectures, and even film screenings.

«Ecomobile» (Ekomobil)

Another way to send items for recycling without leaving home. This paid service is offered by the «Clean Environment» center. The vehicle will come to pick up clothing (and more) at a time convenient for you. Applications are accepted Monday through Friday until 17:00.

It is worth noting that clothing must be prepared before pickup. Secondary materials need to be sorted into bags or boxes and labeled with their contents. The acceptance rules are the same — you can donate items that are not heavily worn, clean, and dry. The service costs 1,000 rubles (approx. $11 at current rates).

But there is an additional service — an administrator from the center can come to help you sort the clothing (cost — 2,150 rubles, approx. $24).

You can team up with neighbors and friends and donate items together. This is a separate tariff, which includes up to five families (cost — from 1,200 to 1,700 rubles, approx. $13-$19, depending on the number of people).

Eco-taxi «Uberi» (Clean Up)

Another very similar company. The scheme is simple — you collect your items, the car arrives and takes them away. Here they accept clothing of any size and style, shoes, accessories, bedding, soft toys, curtains. They even pick up items with defects (stains, holes, broken zippers).

The cost is 2,300 rubles (approx. $26). There is an option for urgent pickup for 2,500 rubles (approx. $28). You can get rid of just a few bags or an entire wardrobe — for this, it«s best to leave a request on the website and clarify the price.

The company cooperates with recycling plants and processors; all items are sent for recycling and later returned to the economic cycle. You can donate not only clothing but also old appliances, furniture, tires, paper waste, and more.

Foundation «Second Wind» (Vtoroe Dykhanie)
